SOMALILAND ADVOCACY GROUP

A Nation by Law, History, and Choice.

Integrating diplomatic advocacy, strategic investment, and global accountability, bridging the gap between international capital and local potential. We operate in full alignment with the government’s vision, integrating diplomatic advocacy, strategic investment, and global accountability to secure our nation’s future.

Institutional Lobbying & Diplomatic Relations

We actively lobby international governments and corporations to strengthen their formal and commercial ties with Somaliland. By modernising commercial frameworks and removing “recognition risk”, we ensure that global partners feel secure in establishing high level, institutional relationships.

Business & Strategic Investment

We operate as a strategic extension of the government’s mission, facilitating the essential connections between international partners and the national development goals. By combining global reach with deep local depth, we ensure that foreign capital and diaspora expertise are effectively channelled to support Somaliland’s path toward economic self reliance.

Global Campaigns

We launch campaigns to protect our national interests and challenge diplomatic inconsistencies. We ensure that the actions of international entities on our soil align with the dignity and sovereign status of the Somaliland people.

Institutional Lobbying & Diplomatic Relations

Restoration of Sovereignty & Legal Truth

We lobby to correct the global narrative by affirming that Somaliland is not a “breakaway” region, but a sovereign state which has restored its original independence. We promote the historical and legal fact that Somaliland was a fully recognised nation on June 26, 1960, and that the subsequent union with Somalia was never legally ratified. Our mission is to ensure the international community acknowledges this continuity of statehood—moving beyond the “secessionist” label.

Diplomatic Accountability & Policy Alignment

We serve as a watchdog to ensure that foreign entities operating within Somaliland borders—including international consulates and NGOs—fully respect Somaliland’s independent status. We challenge diplomatic inconsistencies, such as foreign offices that enjoy the stability of Hargeisa while officially opposing its sovereignty. We lobby for “Diplomatic Consistency”—ensuring that every partner on Somaliland soil aligns their actions and official policies with the reality of Somaliland as a separate and sovereign nation.

Business & Strategic Investment

Institutional Advocacy & Commercial Law

We serve as the legal and political “shield” for international partners. By lobbying for modernized commercial frameworks and investment protection laws, we remove the “recognition risk” that often holds back large-scale capital.

Strategic Matchmaking & Venture Capital

We act as primarily as a bridge between the world’s most advanced industries and Somaliland’s regional opportunities thanks to our local expertise. We don’t just find investors; we find the right partners.

Diaspora Skills & Knowledge Transfer

We transform the diaspora from a source of “remittances” into a source of “equity and expertise.” We connect professionals abroad with local institutions and businesses that need their specific skills to scale. And also for those who want to give back.

Global Campaigns

Global Media Outreach & The Reality of Statehood

We lead media campaigns to broadcast the “Somaliland Truth” to the world. Our mission is to shift the international narrative by presenting the undeniable facts of our sovereignty: Somaliland maintains its own currency, passports, and defined colonial borders. We are a proven democracy where the last 6 presidents are chosen by the public through a direct vote. Most importantly, we promote the historical truth that Somaliland was never legally part of a union with Somalia. Our independence is a restoration of the sovereign status we held on June 26, 1960.

Global Standards, Security & Diplomatic Accountability

We launch targeted campaigns to elevate Somaliland’s national standards, aligning our policies in health, education, environment, and human rights with international benchmarks. A primary focus is addressing the inconsistency of foreign offices, such as the Turkish consulate, that operate on our soil and benefit from our security while officially opposing our independence. By countering disinformation and demanding policy alignment, we ensure every partner in Somaliland respects the dignity and sovereign status of our people.
